I’m Sam. I’ve been a midwife in the NHS for over twelve years, and I run Fade & Bare from my clinic in New End. Appointments are never rushed, and if you don’t need something, I’ll say so.

AfterWhy I started Fade & Bare
After years of NHS shifts I wanted to work on my own terms, with time for my family and proper time for each client. No conveyor belt, no upselling.
Every new client has a full consultation first. We go through your medical history and what you’d like to change, and work out together whether a treatment is right for you. Sometimes the answer is “not yet”.
I’m also studying for a Master’s in prescribing, so I keep learning alongside the work.

Questions people ask
Do I need a consultation first?
Yes, every new client has one. I need to go through your medical history, your skin and what you’re hoping for, so I can be sure a treatment is safe and suitable.
How long do results last?
Anti-wrinkle usually lasts 3 to 4 months. Fillers last anywhere from 6 to 18 months depending on the product and the area. We’ll talk about what to expect for you.
Does it hurt?
I use numbing cream where it helps and work carefully. Most people say it’s very manageable.
Is there any downtime?
Usually very little. You might have some redness, swelling or a small bruise for a day or two. You’ll go home with aftercare advice.
How should I prepare?
Avoid alcohol, aspirin and anti-inflammatories for 24 to 48 hours beforehand to cut the chance of bruising. Come without make-up if you can.
